Beach water quality monitoring begins for 2024

Point Edward, ON - Lambton Public Health will begin the 2024 beach water quality monitoring program on Monday, June 17 at public beaches scheduled for monitoring across Lambton County.
Predictive beach-water sampling and water sample analysis will be used to determine if beaches are safe to access. A beach’s status will be indicated in one of two ways:
- Posted - warning sign displayed. Unsafe for swimming as high levels of bacteria in the waters may pose a risk to your health.

Wyoming, ON – Registration is now open for Lambton County Library’s free annual Summer Reading Challenge, and this year the library is challenging the community to read 40,000 books.
The Summer Reading Challenge runs from Tuesday, July 2 to Sunday, August 11, is available to people of all ages, and incentivizes people to read and take part in free activities and games for a chance to win prizes.

Point Edward, ON - With the prediction of hot and humid weather expected for today, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Lambton County.

Lambton Heritage Museum hosts art installation Hope and Healing in Canada

Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum will host an art installation by Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers as part of her Hope and Healing in Canada series. The art exhibit will be displayed on the Museum grounds from June 12 to September 1.
