Point Edward, ON - With the hot and humid weather continuing, Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued an Extended Heat Warning for Lambton County. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.
This prolonged period of hot weather is expected to continue into Tuesday.

Point Edward, ON - Environment and Climate Change Canada is issuing a Heat Warning for Lambton County with hot and humid weather forecast for Saturday, August 6 through Sunday, August 7.
Heat warnings are issued when two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31°C or warmer and nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to sit at 20°C or warmer or when two or more consecutive days of humidex values are expected to reach 40°C or higher. Lambton Public Health reports first local case of monkeypox

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is reporting the first laboratory-confirmed case of monkeypox in Lambton County.
The infected individual resides in Lambton, however they most likely acquired it outside the county. The individual is currently self-isolating at home, and LPH staff have followed up with potential close contacts.
