Emergency Control Group Update - March 21

Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met this morning to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation.
The group received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade. There are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lambton County, however Public Health officials continue to approach the situation as though the virus is here and circulating throughout the community.
By taking this approach, we are working to prevent the spread of the virus....
Social Services Program Update

Sarnia, ON - In order to fight the spread of COVID-19, the County of Lambton Social Services Division has made the decision to remain open by appointment only beginning on Monday March 23, 2020.
All social assistance, housing, homelessness prevention and children's services will be available by phone or email. Staff are contacting current clients to advise them of these changes.

Lambton County Library cancels author Wab Kinew's Spring Visit to Sarnia

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library has cancelled the One Book Lambton discussion with The Reason You Walk author, Wab Kinew, and Dr. Niigaan Sinclair on Friday, April 24, 2020. The cancellation is a result of ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus through social distancing.

Lambton Public Health Supports COVID 19 Response – Some Routine Services Reduced

Point Edward, ON - Due to the expansion of COVID-19 response demands in the community, Lambton Public Health (LPH) has implemented measures to re-direct and re-allocate health unit resources to deal with the current situation.
Staff are being redirected to support the COVID-19 response, and as a result, some routine programs and services are suspended or modified with new access requirements.
The following changes will be implemented as of Friday March 20, 2020.
