No One Wants 'The Flu' For Christmas

Point Edward, ON - What's worse than getting Aunt Helen's fruitcake for Christmas? Getting 'the flu'.

"Even though it's the holiday season, if you're sick, stay home. No one wants what you're bringing, so don't share it with family and friends," said Dr. Erin Courtney, Health Protection Supervisor at Lambton Public Health.

The best way to protect yourself and others from influenza is to get a flu shot. Flu shots are available from your health-care provider or neighbourhood pharmacy.

Holiday Office Schedule for Lambton Public Health

December 24 - 26, 2019
December 31, 2019 - January 1, 2020

This closure includes access to the facility, sub-offices, and all services. Access and services will resume January 2, 2020 at most locations.

Lambton's Creative County Committee Awards 2020 Funding

Wyoming, ON - Lambton's Creative County Grant Program has approved 21 projects for the 2020 program year, representing an investment of $71,880 in funding.

Lambton Public Health Searching for Dog That Bit Man

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 2:00pm on Sunday, December 8th around the Legacy Arena and baseball diamonds in Thedford.

The dog, described as large black and brown, possibly a German Shepard mix, was seen walking unattended on the street by the victim.
