Forest, ON – Licensed home child care agencies Lambton Rural Child Care and Wee Watch are coming together for another Information Night & Community Conversation for Home-Based Child Care Opportunities, to be held on Thursday, July 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kineto Theatre, 24 King St. W, Forest.

Lambton Public Health issues advisory regarding increase in suspected opioid overdoses/toxicity

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) has received reports of 10 suspected opioid overdoses/toxicity over a five-day period beginning June 29, 2023. This is higher than average compared to recent monitoring data.
Due to this increase, LPH urgently recommends caution when using opioids or if using drugs not prescribed to you:
- Don’t mix with alcohol or other drugs,
- Don’t use alone,
- Know the signs of an opioid overdose,
- Carry a Naloxone kit.

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30 in the crosswalk at Christina St N and George St.
The dog is described as medium sized, with dark coloured fur, resembling a mastiff, and was being walked by a male owner. The owner is described as slender, average height, with short dark hair and is thought to be between 30-40 years.

Point Edward, ON - With the prediction of hot and humid weather expected for today, July 4 and Wednesday, July 5, Environment and Climate Change Canada is issuing a Heat Warning for Lambton County.
