Lambton County, ON - Sarnia-Lambton's formal participation in the Intelligent Community Forum's (ICF) Smart Communities challenge has concluded for 2019. Delegates celebrated Sarnia-Lambton earning the Top7 title at the ICF Global Summit in New York City this week.
A strong submission underscoring many of the innovative projects underway locally landed Sarnia-Lambton among the world's Smart21 Communities and Top7 Intelligent Communities groupings in 2019.

Household Hazardous Waste mobile depot coming to Sarnia - June 2019

Wyoming, ON - The popular Household Hazardous Waste Days, co-sponsored by the County of Lambton Public Works Department and Clean Harbors Canada Inc., will be changing locations in June.
The one day only mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collection event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Lambton College Parking Lot located at 1457 London Road in Sarnia.

Student Nutrition Program Volunteer Appreciation Day

Sarnia, ON - Over 450 Student Nutrition Program volunteers, who provide healthy food to students every school day, were recognized today by the Ontario Student Nutrition Program-Lambton (OSNP-Lambton).
"The Program is 100% volunteer driven; without them, it wouldn't exist," said Leslie Palimaka, Health Promotion Assistant. "Volunteers ensure students are well nourished and ready to learn in Lambton. That would not happen without their investment."

Age-Friendly Website simplifies health and support searches

Point Edward, ON - Age-Friendly Sarnia and Lambton Public Health have launched a new online resource to help community members navigate health and social support systems in Lambton County: agefriendlysarnialambton.ca.
