Point Edward, ON - Even though summer is winding down, Lambton Public Health reminds Lambton County residents that mosquitoes and ticks are still active and precautions are needed to protect against the risk of West Nile virus (WNV) and Lyme disease.

Point Edward, ON - With the hot and humid weather continuing for the remainder of today, Lambton Public Health has issued an Extended Heat Warning for Lambton County. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.

Point Edward, ON - Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a Heat Warning for Lambton County yesterday and is expected to last until Wednesday. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.
A heat warning is issued when two consecutive days are forecasted to have a daytime high temperature greater than or equal to 31⁰C and a nighttime temperature greater than or equal to 20⁰C or a humidex greater than 40.
