Beach water sampling enhancements - June 2019

Point Edward, ON ̶ Lambton County beach-goers will be able to again get more accurate and timely water quality notifications thanks to a predictive beach-water sampling system that was introduced in 2018 by Lambton Public Health (LPH).
Water at five of Lambton's public beaches will be monitored on a daily basis by LPH while two others will be sampled weekly starting on June 3, 2019. Beach-water testing continues until the end of August.

Point Edward, ON - Lambton County residents can now access home and community care supports they need to remain independent, supported and healthy at home thanks to Caredove, a new online referral management network.
Lambton Public Health (LPH) and Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO), in partnership with Caredove, launched the referral network to streamline access to community supports and health services that allow residents to "age-in-place."

Michigan Avenue to be reconstructed

Wyoming, ON - Michigan Avenue (County Road #19) between Colborne Road and Christina Street in the City of Sarnia is scheduled for full closure beginning June 3, 2019. The work is expected to last up to twelve weeks.
Detours will be in place using Indian Road, Lakeshore Road and Christina Street to access Michigan Avenue east and west.
The project, awarded to Cope Construction, also includes the installation of a new watermain and a sanitary sewer for the City of Sarnia at Marcin Road.

Grand Bend, ON - Lambton Heritage Museum is offering a hands-on, engaging experience for local students on the upcoming PA Day, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The Conservation Connections and Nature Fun program is a partnership between St. Clair Region Conservation Authority, Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority and Lambton Heritage Museum.
