Sarnia, ON - When it comes to creating a healthy school environment, students, staff and parents at Ecole Les Rapides elementary school deserve a gold star.
On Thursday, June 28 at 11:30 a.m. Ecole Les Rapides will celebrate its OPHEA (Ontario Physical and Health Education Association) Healthy Schools Certification by unveiling its Gold Status banner.

Lambton Public Health searching for dog that bit woman - June 20, 2018

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around noon on Sunday, June 17 in the Davis and Mitton streets area of Sarnia.
The dog, described as small white dog with black and brown spots with a red collar, possibly a Jack Russell terrier, was seen walking unattended on the street by the victim.

Mosquito larviciding begins June 25

Point Edward, ON - Catch basin larviciding, designed to control mosquito larvae and reduce the incidence of West Nile virus in Lambton County, begins Monday, June 25.
Mosquito larval surveillance has indicated the presence of mosquito larvae in catch basins across Lambton County.
Larviciding is only one measure to impede mosquito breeding and control adult mosquito populations. Lambton Public Health (LPH) encourages residents to:
- Remove stagnant water around their property
- Keep eaves clear of debris
Road resurfacing projects scheduled to get underway

Wyoming, ON - Two road resurfacing projects are scheduled to begin on County Roads in the coming days.
County Road 20 (Plank Road), from 50 metres southeast of Highway 40 to 50 metres northwest of County Road 31 (Kimball Road) will require alternating full lane closures for approximately two days beginning Friday, June 22 (weather permitting).
At times, left turns will not be permitted in the construction zone.

Point Edward, ON - With the prediction of hot and humid weather continuing for today, Lambton Public Health has issued an Extended Heat Warning. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.
The warning will remain in effect until Tuesday when conditions are expected to ease.
