Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting Wednesday, February 7, 2018, Lambton County Council:
- Heard a presentation from Mr. Brad Zantingh regarding proposed amendments to Plympton-Wyoming's Official Plan.
- Heard a presentation from Tourism Sarnia-Lambton which is requesting a funding increase of $35,000 from the County in 2018 to cover additional operating expenses.

Cold Weather Alert issued for Lambton County - February 1, 2018

Point Edward, ON - Lambton’s Medical Officer of Health has issued a COLD WEATHER ALERT for Lambton County based on the latest forecast from Environment Canada predicting the temperature to meet the threshold of -15°C overnight.
The alert will remain in effect overnight. The Medical Officer of Health will not issue a Cold Weather Alert termination.
Lambton Public Health advises local agencies that provide shelter and assistance to homeless people to prepare for an increase in demand during the alert.

Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Library invites residents to go on a blind date with a hand-wrapped mystery book and get acquainted with some new genres and authors. The 'Blind Date with a Book' program will take place Thursday, February 8 until Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Lower your cancer risk: Drink less alcohol

Point Edward, ON ̶ Most connect tobacco and cancer, but when it comes to alcohol only one third of Canadians are aware they can lower their risk of cancer by reducing how much alcohol they drink.
Cancer Care Ontario (2010) estimates 3,000 new cases of cancer reported annually are alcohol-related. About 80% of Ontario adults consume alcohol.
