Smurfs: Search for a smoke-free environment

Sarnia, ON – Help Lambton Public Health and Youth CHAT (Community Health Action Team) with their search for a smoke-free world as they host Tobacco-Free Outdoor Movie Night on Friday, July 20.
The FREE event, featuring the animated movie 'Smurfs: The Lost Village', will be held at Clearwater Park from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. behind the YMCA and Clearwater Arena. Activities before the movie begin at 7 p.m.; the movie starts at dusk.

Black Gold Fest returns to the Oil Museum of Canada - July 2019

Oil Springs, ON - Lambton County residents and visitors are invited to attend the Oil Museum of Canada Sunday, July 15 as the County museum celebrates Black Gold Fest.
The event, from 12 noon until 4 p.m., recognizes the 160th anniversary of the First Commercial Oil Well.
Activities include blacksmith demonstrations, vintage hand tools, Annie McLaughin's mini art show, Makerspace activities from Lambton County Library, country music by Colt & Dave, and bagpiper David Cummings.

Lambton Public Health searching for dog that bit girl

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 2:40 pm on Thursday, July 5th in front of the post office in Corunna.
The dog, described as a large black and white Great Dane bit the girl while walking past the girl on the sidewalk. The owner is described as a woman with white hair in her 60s.

Point Edward, ON - With the prediction of hot and humid weather for the Canada Day long weekend, Environment and Climate Change Canada is issuing a Heat Warning for Lambton County. In high temperatures and humidity, your body may not be able to cool properly which can lead to heat exhaustion or even heat stroke.
The warning will remain in effect over the long weekend and is likely to be extended into the middle of next week.

Oil Springs, ON - Family friendly horse-drawn wagon tours from the Oil Museum of Canada return every Sunday this summer, beginning July 8.
Tours are free with museum admission and are offered at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.
