Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Museums and Lambton County Library are hosting a Best of Show & Tell event on Wednesday, October 9 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sarnia Library Theatre, to celebrate Lambton County’s 175th Anniversary and showcase local history discoveries from the 12 community Show & Tell events that took place over the summer.
Best of Show & Tell will feature clips, images and live commentary on the historical treasures and stories that were brought in during the community events. These local history items, documents and stories have now been immortalized through digitization, ensuring future generations can explore and appreciate Lambton County's rich heritage.
"We are excited to share video clips, images, and live commentary of the local history items that have been immortalized for future generations to explore and appreciate," said Dana Thorne, Curator/Supervisor, Lambton Heritage Museum. "This event is a testament to our community’s dedication to preserving local history."
The Best of Show & Tell will serve as a celebration of both Lambton County’s 175-year journey and the community’s ongoing efforts to uncover, preserve, and share the region’s history. In addition, the Lobby of the Sarnia Library Theatre is currently hosting the Lambton 175 exhibit developed by Lambton County Museums and Archives, which will be available to browse during Best of Show & Tell.
