Those arriving from the Ukraine and relocating to Lambton, who have Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) designation, and are in need of emergency financial assistance, can contact Ontario Works at 519-344-2062 for support including links to other community resources.
Ontario Works supports people in achieving increased stability and moving towards self-sufficiency. Ontario Works provides financial assistance for food, shelter, and other basic needs along with certain health and stability related benefits. OW staff collaborate with people to develop individualized plans designed to guide people to meet their needs, increase readiness to explore employment services, and reach their goals.
Ontario Works staff work with employment service providers, including Lambton Works, to support people from across the community to access employment readiness resources and link them to employment opportunities.
