Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is introducing a new online Author Talk series to its cardholders and is planning a special Valentine’s themed event on February 8 with New York Times bestselling romance author Tessa Bailey to kick off the new program.
The Galentine’s Night Out event will begin at 7 p.m., with the livestream Author Talk with Tessa Bailey set for 8 p.m. in the Sarnia Library Theatre. Romance readers are invited to celebrate the occasion and gather with friends before the Author Talk to enjoy candy, make Valentine’s cards, and take romance book cover inspired photos in front of the library’s green screen.
“Galentine’s Night Out is a new idea for us, but the opportunity to hear from a bestselling author as she discusses her newest book, Fangirl Down, seemed like a great way to have fun with Valentine’s Day and also introduce some of our cardholders to this new Author Talk series that will continue this year,” said Adrianne Lebert, Public Services Coordinator – Adult Programs & Outreach with Lambton County Library.
Each month, the Library will be offering online Author Talks with a range of best-selling authors covering a wide spectrum of genres and topics. The Author Talks can be watched by library cardholders live from their own homes, or they can be watched in a recorded format at a convenient time for the cardholder. The Library may plan watch parties for some Author Talks as well throughout the year.
“These online Author Talks are a great way to gain more insight into the author’s work, their writing process, and hear some great discussion about a plot point, or a particular topic,” said Lebert. “We are thrilled to have access to these discussions with high-caliber talent and publishing success.”
Registration for the Galentine’s Night Out viewing party can be found at lclibrary.ca/calendar, however, drop-ins are welcome. To register to participate in the livestream at home and to see upcoming livestream Author Talks, visit libraryc.org/lclibrary.
Books by Tessa Bailey are available as eBooks, eAudiobooks and print books through the Lambton County Library online catalogue at lclibrary.ca or the Iguana App.
