Oil Springs, ON - Lambton County residents and visitors are invited to attend the Oil Museum of Canada Sunday, July 15 as the County museum celebrates Black Gold Fest.
The event, from 12 noon until 4 p.m., recognizes the 160th anniversary of the First Commercial Oil Well.
Activities include blacksmith demonstrations, vintage hand tools, Annie McLaughin's mini art show, Makerspace activities from Lambton County Library, country music by Colt & Dave, and bagpiper David Cummings.
Guided horse-drawn wagon tours through Fairbank Oil Fields are offered at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, $4 for children, $18 for a family, and $1 for members.
