Forest, ON – Forest Library invites artists to submit miniature art works to the library's Art Show of Miniatures, by May 26, 2018. The theme of the art show is 'The Garden' and submitted pieces will be on display for the month of June to coincide with National Garden Week and Canada's National Garden Days. Pieces can be in any medium but must be 4" x 6" or less.
"Gardens are full of beauty and creativity and this art show will be an inspiration to the community for those who garden and those who prefer to admire." says Cathy Martin, Branch Coordinator. A prize for 'People's Choice' will be awarded.
The art show is an event in Canada's National Garden Days celebration as well as the library's program Butterfly Gardening with Native Plants. This informational event focuses on how to use native plants to attract butterflies and other pollinators to your garden and will be held on Tuesday, June 19 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. A Used Book Fair will also take place during the month of June featuring books with a garden theme, available by a suggested donation.
