Sarnia, ON - Employment opportunities in the local early years and child care sector are being highlighted at a dedicated career fair on Tuesday, November 19 at the Sarnia Polish Hall, 173 Exmouth Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event is open to the public to network, apply for positions, discuss opportunities, learn more about careers within the Early Childhood Education industry, and gather information for friends and family who may be interested.
“These career fairs help our organizations attract and recruit high-quality staff to help children grow and thrive,” said Lindsay Liles, Executive Director, Point Edward Early Learning Centre and member of the Lambton County Child Care Workforce Development Group. “As child care providers, we are all working together to support the overall child care workforce expansion across all of Lambton County”.
This is a drop-in event, with no pre-registration required. Please visit the Lambton County Children’s Services Workforce Development Facebook Page for more information. If you are interested but unable to attend the in-person event, please complete the online inquiry form to receive information about open positions.
The career fair will showcase various in-demand positions and career paths available for people wanting to work in child care within Lambton County. This includes positions for non-Registered Early Childhood Educators and information about the education paths to become a Registered Early Childhood Educator and financial support eligibility.
Lambton Works Centre staff will be on-site to review resumes, provide job search advice and offer on-going employment supports after the event for those who are interested and eligible. For more information on Lambton Works Centre services, visit lambtononline.ca/LWC.
