Wyoming, ON – At its regular meeting on Wednesday, April 3, Lambton County Council:
- Received a presentation from Mary Martin, President, Lambton Wildlife Inc., Márín Ring, Co-Chair, Natural Environment Committee, and Karen Cooke, member, Natural Environment Committee, relating to the importance of woodlands in Lambton County, the relevant County documents that protect woodlands, and the reasons why protection is significant for habitat preservation, wildlife protection and ecological services to county residents.
- Supported the correspondence received from the Ausable Bayfield Maitland Valley Source Protection Committee on February 26, 2024 regarding concerns with the recommendations of the Public Health Ontario’s Laboratory modernization plan to phase out private well water testing in Ontario, as outlined in the December 2023 Auditor General's Value-for-Money Audit: Public Health Ontario report.
Council will next meet at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The meeting will begin with a Closed Session, if necessary, followed immediately by the Open Session.
