Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Council held their regular meeting via videoconference on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. At this meeting, Lambton County Council:
- Received an update from Lambton County Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Sudit Ranade, regarding the current COVID-19 situation in Lambton County.
- Heard presentations from:
- Dr. Robert Dickieson and Jacob Pullen regarding active transportation on County roads within the City of Sarnia.
- Judith Morris, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) and Katherine Walker, Chair, SLEP, providing an update on SLEP’s activities and plans.
- Mark Perrin, Executive Director, Tourism Sarnia-Lambton (TSL) providing an update on TSL’s activities and plans.
- Held the Annual General Meeting of the Corporation of the County of Lambton Community Development Corporation.
- Directed Lambton County Library to eliminate overdue fines on all of its library materials effective March 1, 2022, and to write off outstanding overdue fines that remain on Lambton County Library patrons’ accounts.
- Moved the March 2022 County Council Budget meeting back to its original date of Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
Council will next meet in Open Session at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
