Wyoming, ON - In order to fight the spread of COVID-19, the decision has been made to move to a required services model and to restrict public access to the County of Lambton Administration Building, 789 Broadway Street, Wyoming as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
Restricting public access will enable us to practice enhanced social distancing, which has been strongly recommended by our Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, along with other encouraged prevention measures like frequent hand washing and avoiding touching your face.
The required services model means that some staff will continue to be physically present at the Administration Building and others will be required to work off-site.
If you require service that you would normally receive at the Administration Building, please call 519-845-0801 or visit our website at lambtononline.ca for additional contact information and regular updates on the status of operations.
We encourage the public to call ahead before visiting any County facility in person. This includes the Lambton Shared Services Centre and Lambton Public Health. Many departments and programs are shifting to the required services model and are able to conduct business over the phone, by email or through other methods, reducing the need for face-to-face meetings.
Additionally, the County Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 has been cancelled. The status of the Committee A.M. and P.M. meetings scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2020 is pending, and will be reviewed as the situation progresses.
A list of County facility closures and program/meeting cancellations can be found online at lambtononline.ca/covid-19.
