Point Edward, ON - Lambton Public Health (LPH) continues to actively monitor this developing situation, in collaboration with national and provincial health agencies, as well as local stakeholders, including hospitals and community agencies.
There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lambton County at this time.
Travel Recommendations:
- Avoid all non-essential travel outside of Canada.
- All travellers returning to Canada, including a quick trip across the border, are asked to self-isolate at home for 14 days, whether they have symptoms or not.
- All essential travel related to work is exempt for now.
The guidance for COVID-19 testing no longer considers country of travel; instead it focuses on prioritization of those at highest risk. New guidance will be provided soon.
Daycares and Day Camps
- All daycares and day camps are recommended to close until schools return to operation. Previous direction advised of this possibility and new information has now warranted the closure.
Please continue to practice social distancing by limiting interaction with groups of people in closed settings. We realize the next few weeks will present challenges but pulling together as a community to limit the spread of illness is a top priority. Providing capacity in our health care system to respond is essential.
