Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Monday morning to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet on Wednesday and Friday this week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County. Current statistics are available on the Lambton Public Health website, including a detailed community snapshot.
- Discussed the situations and challenges County divisions are facing including changes in scheduling and work locations for staff, increased application and call volumes and investigating alternative service models as the COVID-19 situation changes.
- Heard that the Pandemic Working Group is developing a coordinated approach to maintain a log of potential volunteers, should the need to activate volunteer teams arise in the future.
