Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Monday morning to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group is scheduled to meet on Wednesday and Friday this week to discuss new developments and planning requirements.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County.
- Received an update from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regarding current traffic levels crossing the Bluewater Bridge. Since the restrictions began on March 21, they have seen a significant decrease in traffic for both passenger vehicles (94% decrease) and commercial trucks (38% decrease). CBSA continues to work closely with the Public Health Agency of Canada to conduct traveler screening and provide direction and information on the mandatory self-isolation required for those entering the country.
- Heard that both the Long-Term Care Division and Emergency Medical Services department have adequate stock of personal protective equipment at the present time, and are submitting daily reports to the Provincial government regarding inventory levels.
