Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Wednesday morning to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet next on Monday, April 13, 2020 to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County.
- Discussed levels of enforcement taking place within the County. The priority of OPP and by-law officers continues to be public education, however depending on the circumstances, individuals can be issued tickets for non-compliance.
- Heard the Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership will be presenting a report to the Control Group in the coming weeks regarding the creation of a Recovery Plan that will assist the County in moving forward once the State of Emergency has been lifted.
- Was informed the Pandemic Working Group has been assembled and will begin meeting this week. The Pandemic Working Group will be responsible for carrying out decisions made by the Emergency Control Group.
