Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Wednesday, February 3 to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet again on Wednesday next week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update regarding the current COVID-19 situation in Lambton County. Statistics are available on the Lambton Public Health website, including a detailed community snapshot.
- Heard that the Lambton COVID-19 Immunization Task Force met on Tuesday, February 2. The Task Force has been working with partners to secure locations for immunization clinics. Three fixed sites have been selected thus far. Discussions are ongoing surrounding a drive-thru format site, as well as temporary mobile sites. Additional locations will be announced as they are confirmed. Please note - these sites are not yet open for immunizations. They will be operational once more vaccines become available, and as per the provincial government’s guidelines regarding eligibility and priority groups.
- Was informed that Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia is still in outbreak, but no additional positive cases have been confirmed to date.
- Received an update on PPE supply levels from County divisions. All areas continue to maintain an adequate supply level.
