Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Monday, June 15 to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet again on Friday this week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County. Current statistics are available on the Lambton Public Health website, including a detailed community snapshot.
- Discussed the Provincial announcement expected today, regarding additional areas of the Province moving into Stage 2. Local businesses are encouraged to visit ontario.ca/covidsafety to prepare for reopening.
- Received an update from Lambton County Library staff regarding curbside pickup. The first week of service ran smoothly and is being well-used by Library patrons. More information on curbside service is available on the Lambton County Library website.
- Heard that the Long-Term Care division is preparing to allow for outdoor visits at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Marshall Gowland Manor, and North Lambton Lodge in accordance with guidance from the Ministry of Long-Term Care.
