Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Monday, June 29 to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet again on Monday next week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Lambton County's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ranade, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County. Current statistics are available on the Lambton Public Health website, including a detailed community snapshot.
- Continued discussing current and future PPE levels needed for several County divisions. These divisions continue to review current and anticipated needs and also continue to refine the process to identify sources, organize orders and track PPE requirements.
- Heard from the OPP that the weekend was busy but relatively calm. Most people were observing proper physical distancing and following proper precautions in public spaces. The OPP would like to remind everyone to continue following these practices and remain respectful of all public health guidelines.
- Discussed the province's emergency declaration, which has been extended until July 15.
