Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met Monday, June 8 to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group will meet again on Friday this week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be scheduled if needed.
At this meeting, the Emergency Control Group:
- Received an update from Andrew Taylor, General Manager, Public Health Services, regarding the COVID-19 situation in Lambton County. Current statistics are available on the Lambton Public Health website, including a detailed community snapshot.
- Continued discussing the re-opening process and what it will look like for different County facilities and amenities. Plans are being developed by the County as more information is provided by the Province surrounding Stages 2 and 3 of the re-opening framework.
- Discussed today's Provincial announcement regarding which municipalities are permitted to move to Stage 2 of the reopening framework at the end of this week. The County is reviewing the information released by the Province regarding the criteria that must be met to progress to Stage 2, and are confident that the municipality will soon be able to move forward.
