Sarnia, ON – The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery (JNAAG) is pleased to announce the opening of four new exhibitions this spring: Siobhán Humston’s In the Garden of Exquisite Unknown; Jon Sasaki’s Homage; Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven; and Re View Exhibition 6.

Siobhán Humston: In the Garden of Exquisite Unknown

Artist Siobhán Humston delves deep into the mysteries of life and nature with her captivating exhibition, In the Garden of Exquisite Unknown. Inspired by the landscapes of Lake Huron, Plympton-Wyoming, and Lambton County, Humston's multidimensional artworks offer a sensory-rich experience, exploring our profound connection to the natural world. From sculptural installations to mixed media drawings, Humston's diverse body of work celebrates the beauty and complexity of our environment.
Jon Sasaki: Homage
April 19 – September 1, 2024
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness the creative process up-close, as the original artist palettes are showcased alongside artworks. The exhibition is organized and circulated by the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven

Inspired by the travelling exhibition Homage, JNAAG proudly presents an exclusive exhibition featuring oil paintings by Tom Thomson and The Group of Seven selected in response to the original paint palettes and paint boxes travelling with the Homage exhibition. This rare opportunity offers visitors a tangible connection to Canadian art history.
Re View Exhibition 6
May 3 – July 14, 2024
As part of the ongoing celebration of the 10 years since JNAAG's opening in the historic Thom Building, the finale of the Re View series features works by prominent artists Stephen Andrews, Franklin Arbuckle, John Colin Forbes, Ian McLean, and Jessie Oonark. This exhibition offers a retrospective glimpse into the gallery's rich history and highlights the diverse talents of Canadian artists.

The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 8:30 p.m.
