Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is celebrating Free Comic Book Day Saturday, May 5, 2018. Residents are invited to drop into their local library to pick up a comic book, supplied by Future Pastimes of Sarnia.
"The comic books are from a selection of specially printed comics intended for Free Comic Book Day and are free of charge," says Lise Babcock, Children's Services Coordinator. "This year the comics include Overwatch, Riverdale, Legend of Korra, as well as Pokemon, Disney Princesses and more."
Free Comic Book Day is held annually on the first Saturday in May. The North American comic book industry introduced the event in 2002 as an opportunity to acquaint readers with the world of comics.
Lambton County Library offers a variety of free materials and services to meet the leisure and informational needs of the community through its 26 branches, bookmobile and website. eReader lending, multi-media resources, online services, programs and Internet access are all available.
