Sarnia-Lambton, ON - The Intelligent Sarnia-Lambton Taskforce is looking for the public's help in building an Intelligent Community Strategic Plan.
Three stakeholder consultation sessions are being planned for early February.
The sessions are supported by a $10,000 grant generously provided by the Libro Prosperity Fund and will be held:
- Tuesday, February 5, 2019: 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Wyoming
- Thursday, February 7, 2019: 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park
- Wednesday, February 13: 9 a.m. - 12 noon at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park.
"These sessions will help build a strategic plan that will empower our community's pursuit of becoming one of the most intelligent communities in the world," said Chris Gould, Chair, Intelligent Sarnia-Lambton Taskforce. "Citizens and professionals from all walks of life are encouraged to attend and have a direct say in our community's future."
The Intelligent Sarnia-Lambton Taskforce pursues opportunities that use information and communications technology to create prosperity and enrich the quality of life for all residents. The Taskforce is comprised of members from Bluewater Power, Bluewater Regional Networks, Brooke Telecom, City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Lambton College, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, and Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park.
The Intelligent Community Forum has named Sarnia-Lambton one of its Smart 21 communities worldwide in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
