Sarnia, ON –The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is inviting adults to take part in a beginner’s printmaking workshop on Saturday, January 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In this workshop, led by local artist Laura Manzano Arias, participants will learn the art of drypoint etching, a printmaking technique that offers remarkable graphic results, which can be considered an extension of drawing.
Participants will be guided through the process of creating, decomposing, and recomposing an image using drypoint on Plexiglass. Participants are welcome to bring a drawing or photograph that they would like to recreate using this printmaking technique. No prior experience is necessary.
The cost to participate in the workshop is $50 plus tax, or $45 plus tax for JNAAG members, and registration is required. All inks and basic materials are included in this course.
To learn more and to register, visit the event page on the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery website.
