Lakeshore Road rehabilitation project starting July 15

Wyoming, ON – Lakeshore Road (County Road 7) between Mandaumin Road (County Road 26) and Egremont Road in the Town of Plympton-Wyoming is scheduled for rehabilitation beginning Monday, July 15, 2024.

The project, awarded to Lavis Contracting Co. Limited, includes pavement recycling, a culvert extension, the addition of a turn lane at the Fleming Road intersection, road resurfacing with new partially paved shoulders, and drainage improvements.

Motorist should expect delays and temporary lane closures as work is underway. Work on this project is expected to last until late September, weather permitting.

For approximately three weeks during this project, the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Fleming Road will be closed to accommodate work. This is expected to occur between Monday, July 22 until Monday, August 12, weather permitting.

Through traffic will be permitted during construction, except for the period of time when the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Fleming Road is closed, as noted above.

Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signage and to drive in a manner that respects the health and safety of road crews.
