Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Archives is pleased to announce the return of their Leap Into History! Book Sale on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
This one-day sale will take place at the Lambton County Archives between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. with a large selection of new and used local history books, genealogy books, DVDs, and more available for purchase. Prices will vary, with books priced individually and bargain tables with products of $1, $2, and $5.
“After four years, we are pleased we can once again offer this great event,” said Nicole Aszalos, Archivist/Supervisor with Lambton County Archives. “Some of the books available include compiled histories featuring people, places, and events from across Lambton County. Many of the books available are out of print and may be difficult to locate elsewhere. It is exciting that these books will have the opportunity to be read and enjoyed.”
To keep the collections consistent and organized, Lambton County Archives regularly removes triplicates and quadruplicates of local history books and books on subjects outside Lambton County and the Archives’ mandate. After offering the material to more suitable organizations or archives, the remaining material will be offered to the public during this fundraising event. All proceeds from the sale support the continued care and conservation of the Archives’ collection.
While entry to the sale is free, donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated. Books will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cash, credit, and debit will be accepted.
