Sarnia, ON – Employment opportunities in the local child care sector are being highlighted at a career fair on Thursday, March 9 at Sarnia Legion Branch 62, 286 Front Street North, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This event is open to the public to network, apply for positions, discuss opportunities, learn more about careers in the industry, and gather information for friends and family who may be interested. The WorkPlace Group will be present to provide employment-related supports and discuss potential free training opportunities.

High-quality licensed child care is a significant building block to healthy childhood development as well as economic growth,” said Matt Joosse, Project Manager, Early Years Workforce Development Strategy. “By growing this sector, we are supporting the development of vibrant communities and healthy futures”.
This is a drop-in event, with no pre-registration required if attending in-person. All attendees will be entered to win a prize for attending. This career fair, hosted by local licensed child care providers, is a part of a new, local marketing campaign that highlights the value and importance of Early Childhood Educators. The campaign will showcase various in-demand careers and exciting career paths available for people working in child care in Lambton County. Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) are trained professionals who deliver quality child care to current and future generations of Lambton County children. RECEs provide children with safe and caring interactions that build essential foundations for their well-being, setting them up for improved outcomes in health, literacy, math, and science.
