Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum invites the community to explore their feature exhibit Hockey and participate in several special activities during their PA Day event Hockey Day at the Museum on Friday, September 20.
Between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. families are invited to drop-in to the Museum to enjoy hockey-themed activities available exclusively during the PA Day event, including a photo scavenger hunt through the Canadian Museum of History’s travelling exhibit Hockey, and the opportunity to make your very own hockey card. Other activities available in the exhibit include a table-top hockey game and the chance to try sports announcing as a hockey commentator.
“We’re delighted to offer families this chance to spend their PA Day in our feature exhibit Hockey,” said Colleen Inglis, Educational Program Coordinator with Lambton Heritage Museum. “We wanted to go beyond the stories and artifacts to give families a way to explore the exhibit’s content from a new perspective. We’ve created these special, interactive activities for the PA Day to offer a unique experience with some memorable take-aways. It’s sure to be fun for all ages!”
Admission is free for residents of Lambton County in 2024 in celebration of Lambton County’s 175th anniversary. To learn more about Hockey, please visit the exhibit page at heritagemuseum.ca.
