Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum invites families to embrace the winter season with the snow-themed Winter Warm Up PA Day event on Friday, January 31, 2025. Drop-in between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to experience a flurry of exciting activities for all ages.
Visitors will discover the challenges and joys of winter life long ago with interpretive talks in the Lambton Gallery at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. The family-friendly presentation will explore how people have historically braved icy winters in Lambton County. Visitors can also participate in a Snowflake Scavenger Hunt or strike a pose and have their photo placed inside a winter scene from a historic postcard. If the snowy weather cooperates, there will be outdoor seasonal activities to enjoy, including making snowmen and snowshoeing along the Woodland Heritage Trail.
“This event is a chance for families to explore ways that people have travelled, experienced, and embraced winter throughout history. Some of these ways are very different from today, but others will be familiar to visitors,” said Colleen Inglis, Educational Program Coordinator with Lambton Heritage Museum. “Between fascinating stories, making their own postcard, and solving our scavenger hunt, we hope this event will inspire everyone to see the magic in winter!”
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, $3 for children, and children aged three and under are free. For more information, visit the event page on the Museum’s website.
