Lambton Public Health Offices and Immunization Clinics Closed for Thanksgiving

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health’s (LPH) offices and immunization clinics will be closed on Monday, October 11 (Thanksgiving Day). While contract tracing will continue that day, the daily surveillance report, will also not be updated.

This follows a similar approach with reports from other Provincial health authorities and health units. LPH will continue all case and contact management procedures during the weekend and on the holiday Monday. These procedures support the investigation for a confirmed case, and help to reduce further transmission in the community and settings.

While families and friends are gathering this weekend, LPH would like to remind everyone to stay home if you’re feeling unwell, and continue to follow all public health measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Individuals that have been informed to self-isolate should remain at home and not attend a gathering.

We all have a role to play to reduce the transmission of this virus. If you haven’t done so already, please consider getting vaccinated as soon as you can. If you’re deemed a close contact of an individual with COVID-19 and LPH calls you, please be honest and understand that isolating close contacts is critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19. We are stronger when we all work together.
