Sarnia, ON – The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is inviting art enthusiasts and craft lovers to dive into the world of punch needle, a captivating art form that breathes life into intricate patterns and florals.
Punch needle is a technique that uses a manual tool to create textured designs on fabric by punching through it with yarn or thread. The result is a visually stunning and tactile piece.
During this workshop, participants will learn the basic techniques of punch needle and translate delicate and detailed patterns inspired by the current exhibition “A Family Palette” into tactile wall art. All supplies required to create their own unique pieces will be provided, ensuring they can continue at their own pace after the workshop.
Discover the art of punch needle and join us on Thursday, October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Unleash your creativity, learn a new skill, and take home a piece of artistry that tells your unique story.
The cost of participating in the workshop is $60 plus tax. Discounts are available for JNAAG members.
To register, visit the event page on the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery website. For more information on the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, visit jnaag.ca or follow the Gallery on Facebook and Instagram.
