Forest, ON – Licensed home child care agencies Lambton Rural Child Care and Wee Watch are coming together for another Information Night & Community Conversation for Home-Based Child Care Opportunities, to be held on Thursday, July 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kineto Theatre, 24 King St. W, Forest.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness of the growing potential for licensed home-based child care in the area, as well as to empower and educate community members about the numerous benefits of opening a licensed home child care business in Lambton County.
Owning a licensed home child care business provides the opportunity to work from home, establish lifelong relationships, and have control over one's own business. In addition, obtaining an Early Childhood Education (ECE) registration is not necessary to start a licensed home child care business.
“It’s an opportune time to open a licensed home-based child care business as the sector is greatly expanding,” says Lori Veroude, Executive Director for Lambton Rural Child Care. “If you love children and want to grow a successful, flexible business that you have control over, we are here to support, inform, and encourage you.”
This community event offers the opportunity to connect with licensed home child care agencies, such as hosts Wee Watch and Lambton Rural Child Care, to explore potential opportunities in home-based child care businesses. The event also provides attendees with the chance to network, apply for positions, and gather information for friends and family who may be interested in pursuing a career in home-based child care.
“These events bring together both of our local licensed home child care agencies to help support our community and its children,” says Varsha Kulkarni, Agency Supervisor for Wee Watch.
Refreshments will be provided and all community members are welcome to attend. All those in attendance will be entered into a draw for prizes.
