Grand Bend, ON - Lambton Heritage Museum will once again play host to the popular Paint Ontario show.
The exhibition runs March 29 to April 20, 2019 and features over 200 original paintings that bring to life the beauty, character, and diversity of Ontario. An Opening Night Reception will be held from 4 - 9 p.m., Friday, March 29 with an awards presentation beginning at 7 p.m. Admission to the event is free.
For visitors, art comes to life with live demonstrations by international, national and local artists, accompanied on weekends by some of the best of locally crafted wines and beers. For information on artist workshops, talks, and demonstrations that will be held throughout the show, visit the Artist Workshops page of the exhibition's website, PaintOntario.com.
Through the auspices of the Grand Bend Art Centre, a team of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers brings the show to fruition through every stage of production, from conception to the finished product. This prestigious show not only gives artists the opportunity to be seen and to sell their works, but funds raised go straight back into cultural development within the community. The Grand Bend Arts Centre is a non-profit organization which provides, among many other things, a music program to local schools, grants to individuals and organizations who contribute to arts in the community, and art camps for kids.
Admission to the Paint Ontario show is $5 for adults, $4 for students, and $3 for children. The Lambton Heritage Museum is open for the exhibition from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekends.
