Sarnia, ON - It's no surprise 35 per cent of parents label their kids as "picky eaters". To help ease the frustration of making meals everyone will eat, Lambton Public Health and Healthy Kids Community Challenge Lambton present Parenting in the Kitchen: Strategies for Picky Eaters.
Join us Saturday, April 28, from 8 a.m.-Noon at Lambton College Event Centre,1485 London Rd., Sarnia, as Melanie Potock, Feeding Specialist, Speech Language Pathologist and author shares practical ways to incorporate the 3 Es of feeding children: expose, explore and expand.
Cost is $20 which includes breakfast and a FREE signed copy of "Adventures in Veggieland." Register at Eventbrite.
"Food choices directly affect a child's health, growth and development, and school performance," says Connie VanBellinghen, Registered Dietitian at Lambton Public Health. "Sometimes kids may need to be exposed to a new food 8-15 times before they try it, and exploring does not necessarily mean eating. We use all of our senses to explore new foods."
