Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is pleased to report the Province’s new online booking system is now live. Individuals who are 80 years of age and older may now book their vaccine appointments at one of three fixed site clinics in Lambton County.
If you are currently eligible, please book your appointment here - Ontario.ca/bookvaccine.
“We are excited this new Provincial online booking system is open and are happy to begin immunizing the 80+ year old group later this week,” said Dr. Sudit Ranade, Medical Officer of Health for Lambton County. “The Government’s new online portal will streamline operations and allow for easy and efficient bookings of vaccination appointments moving forward.”
Due to high call volumes, the preferred method for scheduling vaccine appointments is the new Provincial website. However, Lambton Public Health’s local Call Centre is also open to assist from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 519-383-8331. Full details for local vaccination registration is available at: GetTheVaccine.ca.
While the Province recommends people book within their own local region, there is no restriction on where an appointment can be scheduled within the Province of Ontario if the individual meets eligibility requirements. Appointments for second doses are also required up to 110 days following your first dose, as the Provincial booking system requires all eligible users to book both first and second immunization appointments at the same time. The Provincial booking system does not currently allow a user to book a single appointment.
Ranade adds, “Please remember to be patient and kind to one another as we continue to navigate this vaccine rollout. LPH and its partners are working diligently to immunize as many people as possible, as quickly as we can, and as vaccine supply becomes more readily available."
