All vaccines provided as part of the Government of Ontario’s rollout deliver strong protection against COVID-19 and its variants. In addition, the National Advisory Committee on Immunizations (NACI) confirmed that mixing vaccines is a safe and effective option for Canadians. To ensure maximum protection against COVID-19, everyone is encouraged to get fully vaccinated as soon as they can.
Second doses are being scheduled according to the age-based and priority sequencing of first doses. As such, LPH is re-scheduling all original second dose appointments in an effort to reduce the interval time between the first and second doses for as many individuals as possible. Everyone is required to re-book their second vaccine appointments when eligible.
