Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is helping give children the opportunity to mail handwritten letters to Santa Claus this holiday season.
Until December 1, children of all ages are invited to visit their local library and write a letter to Santa. All 24 Lambton County Library locations will provide letter templates and pre-addressed envelopes during opening hours. The library will mail these letters using Canada Post’s Letters to Santa service, to ensure the letters get to the North Pole before Christmas.
“Letter writing is an essential skill that can improve communication, social skills and handwriting,” said Vanitia Campbell, Public Services Coordinator – Youth Programs and Outreach. “Writing a letter to Santa teaches children how to structure their writing in a meaningful way”.
All letters submitted to the library by December 1, 2023, will receive a response from Santa Claus mailed to the address provided by the patron. Santa responds in more than 35 languages, including Braille. For full details on locations and hours of operation visit lclibrary.ca.
