Colonel Robert Campbell
Warden, 1859. Warden, 1880.
Born in Ireland in 1815. Arrived in Warwick Township in 1830. Member of the District Council which was then composed of the County of Kent and Essex, in 1847. Member of the County Council 33 years. Took an active part in the Rebellion of 1837 and in the Fenian Raid of 1866. Reeve of Watford in 1881 and died there on February 12, 1883. Age 68 years. Buried in Warwick Cemetery.
Eusebius McGillicuddy
Warden, 1881, 1882.
Born in Ireland, October 20, 1831. Reeve of Warwick 8 years and Treasurer for 16 years, and for over 60 years a resident of the Township. Contested unsuccessfully the Provincial Legislature in 1890. Came to Watford in 1912. Farmer. Resided there until his death.
James Kerr
Warden, 1883.
Oil producer and farmer. Born in Scotland, March 14th, 1839. Mayor of Petrolia 1879, 1880, 1881. Secretary of the Oil Exchange, Petrolia for many years. He was a pioneer in the Oil refining industry and made many discoveries in the refining process, and an authority on geological formation and contributed some articles to the Royal Society of Canada thereon. He died at Sarnia, December 12, 1915. Aged 76 years. Buried at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
Stephen Cornell
Warden, 1884.
Born in Wentworth County, Ontario, in 1829. Came to Bosanquet Township in 1853 and settled two and a half miles from Arkona, north. Moved to Thedford in 1882. Died at Copish, Michigan, while visiting a son, on the 12th November 1895. Aged 66 years, and buried at Baptist Cemtery, Thedford.
Albin Rawlings
Warden, 1885.
Born in England in 1832. Came to Canada in 1851, and settled in Pickering Township in 1852. Moved to Bosanquet Township. Farmer. Director of Lambton Loan and Industrial Loan Company. First Mayor of Forest in 1889. A leading exporter to the British markets. Died February, 1905; and buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Forest.
Robert Rae
Warden, 1863 to 1864. Warden, 1867 to 1869.
Born in Scotland, November 16th, 1826. Came to Canada when 5 years of age and settled with his parents in Scarborough Township. Came to Bosanquet in 1852 and was the first postmaster of Widder. Kept a general store and later a private bank. He was Reeve of Bosanquet for 28 years, and occupied that position when the G.T.R was completed to Sarnia; and when King Edward VII was entertained here. He unsuccessfully contested Lambton County for the Legislator in 1867. Died in Sarnia, March 25, 1912. Age 86 years. Buried at Thedford, Ontario
Charles MacKenzie
Warden, 1888.
Born in Scotland, October 5th, 1833. Came to Canada in 1847. M.P.P for West Lambton in the Ontario Legislature, 1889 to 1894. Senior partner at the time of his death of Mackenzie Milne & Company, Limited, Sarnia hardware merchants. Promoter of Sarnia Transportation Company and St. Clair Tunnel Company, the latter he was a director. Died in Sarnia, September 4th, 1900. Aged 67 years. A younger brother of the late Hon. Alexander Mackenzie, Prime Minister of Canada 1873 to 1878.
